Succeeding Khana Khazana… the Worst Restaurant of the Month award for May 2016 goes to Vanimal. And here’s the explanation why…
On this website we’ve already featured three new additions this year to Hong Kong’s blossoming list of all vegan food joints:-
* LN Fortunate Coffee in Sai Ying Pun
* Veggle Cafe in Kwun Tong
* Veggie SF in Central
Another addition to this list is Loving Nature in Kwai Hing. There’s the LN Fortunate Coffee logo on display giving away they are affiliated with that particular vegan chain. The ‘LN’ in LN Fortunate Coffee means ‘Loving Nature’. Loving Nature in Kwai Hing started over a year in a format more like a coffee shop. In March this year they moved to new premises. It’s from this moment they launched themselves more like a cafe.
Veggie SF has been well known in the Hong Kong vego scene since opening in January 2010. The theme is based on that of a 1950s San Francisco diner. This isn’t just the décor and ornamentation. The music played is like the sound track to George Lucas’ classic movie, American Graffiti.
Earlier this week The Guardian published an article by Leslie Cannold of The Ethics Centre. The article was titled, Are vegetarianism and veganism about animal welfare or moral superiority? (the highlighted text links to the article in The Guardian).
To calmly respond to some highly contentious comments the author makes.
As mentioned on this website last week the launch of Home Eat To Live was scheduled for today. Tasty food and a great relaxed vibe in spacious settings with some happening music coming out the sound system. Good wifi as well. It’s 15% off while on soft launch this week while they get themselves into the groove. It’s well worth checking out if you are interested. Here’s a few pics of what to expect.
